every episode of the popular mtv show the buried life starts out the same way. the narrator asks, "what do you want to do before you die?" there are several shows, movies and songs out there today that deal with this topic. noticing this has really made me start thinking about the things i want to do in my life, so i sat down and came up with my own "bucket list." the list is in no particular order and no one thing is more important than the other. after reviewing my list, i noticed that there isn't any one theme to the items on the list. some of the items involve conquering fears, or helping others, and some of the items are simply about experiencing something that is known to be fun or a good experience, like going to the superbowl or going on a blind date. no matter how small or big the item, i still feel they are all important things that i need to accomplish before i die. i don't want to look back on my life one day and realize that i didn't really live the way i want to.
i think it's a very good idea for everyone to make a bucket list at some point in your life. not only is it fun to think about all of the things you want to do, but you really learn a lot about yourself in the process. i learned that i have a lot of fears that i want to conquer so i don't end up feeling like i held back in any part of my life. i just want to do it all, no matter what. no holds barred.
